Day two of juicing is upon us! How is everyone doing? You may find that you're having varying experiences. Some people may have headaches (my caffeine headache skipped a day and appeared yesterday which was challenging), be tired or cranky, other may feel starving, with cravings, and others will be just fine. The rule of thumb is that the farther your diet is to an ideal plant strong diet the more detox symptoms you will have, and the closer it is to whole, plant based unprocessed foods on a day-to-day basis, the easier the cleanse will be. In fact, some people may feel nothing other than a little hunger, and with 6 juices, perhaps not even hunger! Remember, any symptoms that you feel now will be contributing to the energy and clarity you'll soon have. Even at this point, you've done your body a world of good by eating whole plant based foods and juices for the past two days. Studies show that the benefits of whole plant foods are visible in the body within an hour. These foods heal and clean. So keep it up!
As for you ladies! I've been feeling a sense of power from you- each of you with your own reasons of why you're choosing to do a cleanse, but each of you taking the time to honour yourself, put your health at the forefront, and take time in your busy days to nurture yourself, as you would a loved-one. Taking time in our day to truly love and nurture ourselves is an important part of finding peace in our world. We're so often looking outward to our busy lives, work, kids, relationships, etc, but looking inward with awareness is what really promotes growth and life satisfaction. So I commend each of you for taking this time out to do something for you! A cleanse can be a transformative journey, so I hope you're making the most of it! :)
