Once in a while I re-read these stories of vegan children. I love the long term picture it gives on many vegan-since-conception children. It's a great page to send to a friend who doesn't think being vegan is healthy for children.

I just finished reading an article on integrative medicine which highlighted the work of Dean Ornish. I've been a fan of Dean Ornish's since finding out that Bill Clinton turned to a vegan diet to reverse his heart disease on the recommendation of Dr. Dean Ornish. This forward thinking doctor uses integrative therapies to heal and prevent some of the leading causes of death. He includes meditation and yoga for stress relief, fitness, community and relationship building, and a whole foods-plant based diet in his methods.

I've been participating in the online Food Revolution Summit by listening to the podcasts on my computer. http://foodrevolution.org/ This morning I was listening to Morgan Spurlock (director/star of Supersize Me) speak about his opinions on fast food and health, the health of his child and his ideas for change.
After doing a quick YouTube search I found a documentary that he was interviewed in called Simply Raw, Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days. This brought me back to the issue of diabetes, a disease that effects more people than ever these days and is completely preventable (Type 2). There is a lot of information out there about naturally reversing diabetes and curing yourself through an unprocessed, whole foods, vegan diet. Here's the trailer for the film to get you thinking. Do some research for yourself and see what your options are.
